Replacement Seat - Lone Wolf Sit & Climb
« on: September 19, 2008, 09:01:00 PM »
After a particularly uncomfortable afternoon in my sit & climb last week, I was looking into options for a replacement seat.

I found on Lone Wolf's website that they are now selling an upgraded seat, but it was backordered 4 weeks. I guess alot of folks like the original seat as much as I do.

So, I did some searching and found it available from Cabelas. I ordered one up - received it yesterday. I put it on as soon as I got home from work and went outside to try it out. It's MUCH more comfortable than the original seat, at least for a 5 minute sit in the back yard.

Unfortunately I won't get to really try it out for at least another month, since I'll be hunting out of my 2-man ladder with my son tomorrow, and then I'll be out of action for a while due to surgery on Monday.

know what you mean, I bought the extra top in the hand climber model, which now comes with a sling seat climbing strap for stand up sit down type of climbing very nice!!! then when you get to the top you have an open front with a smaller area which is great for our traditional equipment, think it was around $100. Thanks Jerry

I thought about doing that, but I'm still not too comfortable in a stand, and I guess it's a little bit easier mentally having more "stuff" around me.

Before this season, I haven't been in a tree stand since I rode an old Baker down a tree about 20 years ago.

Maybe next year if I'm a little more comfortable in a stand, I'll order the hand climber.
