Magnus broadheads are whistling?
« on: September 25, 2008, 10:26:00 PM »
I was shooting some new Magnus II 4 blades today and everyone made a whistle when shot. They are the vented ones so I would think that is where the whistle is coming from. I wanted to shoot these for the season and now I an starting to second guess them only because of the noise. Should I be worried?

Oh, they shot great!

Those are some great flying heads.  The whistle is not the vents, occasionally for whatever reason the bleeder slot can whistle.

Smear a little Chapstick into the bleeder slot right in front of the bleeder blade (after the bleeder is already installed) and it will stop.

upatree... good advice from Slowbow! I most often use a little Duco on the bleeder slot. Prevents any noise that could occur and keeps the bleeder honest.

Not difficult to remove the bleeder when you need to.
