Anybody tried them the G5 Montec. I've been using the Small Game Head they make and have been thoroughly impressed with the product.

I used them a couple of years ago, really a fantastic head, probably one of the nicest made heads that I have used (and I have used alot over the years). They fly great and are easy to get shaving sharp. Give them a try, you won't regret it.
The only reason that I don't use them any more is that is use glue on heads with steel adapters for more weight.

I have been using them both on my recurve and the compound bows. To me they are very predictable and dependable. No complains at all.

I use them and the fact that you can shoot their 'practice' heads rather than resharpen your hunting heads is one of the reasons.
I use the 125 with 100gr brass in GT 35/55's. I get about 500 grns at 28".
2 - 5" Shield cuts do the steering, and they do it well.
My first trad deer is yet to come.
With the wheels though, and with a pyramid point; it went through a shoulder and was still sharp.

I use them They Fly Phenominally well I use the 2 and 3 blade 125's I bought a bunch of the 2 blade before they discontinued them. My biggest reason's are that they are consistant in their weight, strong, Cut on contact and **rediculously easy to sharpen**

bought a pack today and love the way they shoot
personally i dont like the glue on to adapter broadheads because i worry about them not being straight and aligined correctly after being shot in parctice. but i feel much better with the montec's

I used them for the last 2 seasons. Took 2 good bucks with them. They fly great, and quiet. The only problem with them is the $34.99 for 3 of them. I have switched to a different head due to the cost.

They are great broadheads though expensive. I tried them a few years ago and liked them pretty well. I have since went back to blades with a 3 to 1 ratio as the G5 has a pretty steep angle. I am just more inclined to use blades that look like they will penetrate better.

A Wensel WoodsMan would out penetrate one for sure but most the deer we shoot in bama are not much over a hunderd pounds so im not too worried about it.
