150 Stingers

Has anyone seen or use the new 150gr Stingers. I'm talking about the 2 blade models.

I just bought a dozen and a half of them and will be hunting with them later this week. They look great -- really strong and sharp -- but I have not used them yet, so I don't know for sure how they will perform. Based on what I am seeing in the construction, and from the reports of others on previous models of Stingers that are not even this beefy, I cannot imagine that these will be anything but great in actual hunting conditions.

I also just ordered two dozen of the 300 grain Tusker Concordes, and they look really amazing for the largest of animals that I plan to hunt -- in my case that will be cape buffalo next July. I ordered the broadheads from Braveheart Archery. Tim Harm is a super guy to deal with. You will like him and he does exactly what he says and charges no more or even less than anyone else around. I've used stingers for a few years and ordered 3 packs of the new 150 2 blade. They look pretty tough and I like the thicker blade. My only concern is the super thick and abrubt angle of the ferrule. It looks like it could hamper penetration if it had to push through bone. I haven't used them yet so we'll see what happens. I really like the 125 grn models and have a bunch of them to use up first.

but wound up using the 150 4 blade instead. I share some of Mikecc's concerns on the bulkiness of the ferrule. Also, and very importantly, I found out that the Accusharp won't work on the 2 blade. It bumps agains the ferrule at the mid point of the blade edge. If they modify the shape a bit it will be a winner. I would love to see a single bevel option on that main blade for sure.
