Scent safe clothing bags
« on: September 30, 2008, 06:58:00 PM »
anybody know where to get something similar to the clear plastic HS Scent Safe bag, at less than $7 each?  Years ago WalMart had them on close out for $2 each and I cleaned them out ... they work well for me but now my supply is gone.

The "new" ones are a bit larger and sturdier, seem to be a different, more sturdy plastic.

I have googled for every relevant word combo I can think of, been to Hefty and Zip Loc sites, etc, but no luck.

Ya know they get these things from somewhere, I just can't figure out where..

Any help is appreciated !

Thanks

I use the SpaceBags at Walmart - same idea as the HS  and large ziploc bags, but they have a oneway seal on the bottom so you can roll/squeeze the air out of the bag after you seal it up.

Toss clean clothes in, a couple earth scent dryer sheets, seal it up and roll it down.  Takes up less space, traps the dirt smell in, and cheap - 3 bags were ~$8 or so.

Good luck!

Dave,
Go to Wally World and look in the "closet organizing" section. They have the space bags as well as bags made by Zip Lock that have handles and come 5 or 6 per box. They sell for around $7. for a box.

I got a big plastic tote boxs that I put some pine into and then the fresh washed hunting togs and it seems to work as good as or better than the plastic zip up bags.

I just purchased some at Walmart yesterday. At my Walmart they have the 3 gal, 10gal, and 20gal sizes of zip loc bags. They are only $5 and some change per box and you get 3 - 5 bags per box, depending on the size. I found them in the grocery section with all of the other zip loc bags.

They also sell a deodorizer you can put in the bag that looks like a big deodorant stick. It's activated charcoal or carbon or something. I think it's like $3+. I saw it in the section with the big storage bags and stuff.
