wood shaft question
« on: October 02, 2008, 07:13:00 PM »
the local gander mountain has some unfinished cedar shafts. I asked what lb they were spinned for and what diameter are they. They dont know, but the shafts have yellow paint on one end. Does this mean anything? i am new to arrow building and need to know if these are usefull or should I just order some?

Thanks!!

That would be enough reason to go somewhere else and purchase shafts from someone that does understand and know what spine shafts they are selling.
All the vendors that sell wood shafts use different colors to identify the spine based on what color , everyone is different.
I recommend you contact one of the many fine sponsers here on Trad Gang , they know what spine shafts they are selling

Yeah mate, exactly what Ted said. Stick with the fellows here who supply or make arrows - they sure know what they're talking about.
