I was reading PastorSteve's thread about forearm slap with renewed interest. I had been shooting my longbow groups OK (not great)w/ no wrist slaps. But just last nite it was cold enough to practice with my heavy coat on. Even with a forearm guard, I'm getting some slight contact with the string. It sometimes affects my impact point to a modest degree, but more notably I see increased arrow wobble in flight. With hunting season already upon me, should I be messing with a new grip now? Am I losing significant speed when point of impact is say, 3" lower than normal at 20 yds?
