Most longbows are not cut to center according to a guy at Three Rivers. My question is...Are hybrid or severe R/D longbows also cut that way, or more like a recurve? ....Charlie

Most of the hybrids I've noticed are cut at least very close to center. You can always build the plate out a bit if you want.

Most hybrids that I have seen are cut to center or 1/8" past, some even more, like 3/16" past center. Shawn

My Widow PL is cut to center. The only bows I have shot not cut to center or past shot to the left for me. I could probally retrain my eye but didn't want to. I find bows cut to center or beyond easier to tune.

My Martin Vision looks cut to center.
It has some recurve type traits to her overall.
SWEET shooting bow and awesome in the stable/accurate department.
Did I mention she's for sale(see the classifieds here) Sorry, couldn't help myself.

Hey Guys ,remember that cut to center means just that.Cut to center, not center shot .Center shot usually means cut to 3/16" past center.

I know that Thunderstick can be cut exactly how you want them. You may have settle on a particular wood/laminate for the riser though.

My Horne's Brushbow is cut 1/8 before center. Some say finding an arrow that shoots well out of a bow not cut to center is harder.I had no problem whatsoever the bow shoots 1916's and 2016's out of a 52# bow no problem.I am currently shooting 35/55 carbons out of it also.If this is your concern.

I cut most all my bows past center an 1/8 or more.Just gives me more tuning room.If I buy one that is not cut that way it usually is the next time someone sees it.
