I have five of the old ones and love them. I've lookd at the new ones, and I just don't think the finish is as good. I can't speak to shooting them, but I am finding that most new bows are tillered for an early rise in the power curve, presumably in the pursuit of the speed everyone is looking for today. I'm older and worry more about smoothness, and I haven't found any bows as consistently smooth as these old Super Kodiaks. I bought one, a 45#, that was pretty rough, turned it over to Bowdoc and got back a real beauty. It cost me as much as a new one, but I'm really happy with it....
