what ground blind for 64"LB?
« on: October 05, 2008, 02:43:00 PM »
And not a DB blind please. Too much cash for me. I would like to know what blinds you guys are shooting from and just how long a bow you are using. Looking into the vision(primos) or the eclispe(ground max). Sorry if this has been asked before I did some searches and could not find this question.

Ameristep Penthouse for me.  There are a couple threads on this.  Use the search as some folks had some good alternatives.

Ameristep Stackhouse. I'm shooting a 64" bow from mine, and it is a pretty tight squeeze, but manageable. After getting this, I have decided that most of my hunting will still be out of natural blinds, but if you have to have a portable, this one works.

here's what I use. Sets up in a minute and comes down in 2 minutes. Shoot thru mesh 360 degrees. I absolutely love this blind. $160 shipped

62" but I have a stackhouse also and the Yukon Tracks is bigger, way easier to put up and take down, better made, better vision and I could shoot a 64" bow out of it. The blinds are night and day apart. Just my opinion.

if you cant the bow you can shoot from the matrix,,, my buddy uses a 70" leon stewart 3-piece and he shoots from my matrix with the bow canted inside.

While I don't have my 64" LB yet, I can attest to the YukonTracks blinds.  I have the 60" Dispatcher, and while it is tight for more than two people, it's light, stable, and was over 4/5th's less than a DB.  I really like the material on the DB, but I just can't justify the price on a piece of equipment I don't use all the time.

I really like the lower windows on that blind in the link, it's the perfect size for larger bows, a few people/younger hunters.  Definately the way to go.
