I have a Jr. Scout that was my first recurve.  I got it as a gift for my 12th birthday in 1977.

It very often gets mistaken for a bear cub at shoots.  It's been a VERY good bow and has held up to me, my daughter and my first son already.  My other boy will probably be using it next summer.

The year could probably be anywhere from late 60's to maybe 1980 or so.

I've come to believe that the keys to shooting well for me are good form, trusting the bow to do all the work, and having the confidence in the bow and myself to remain motionless and relaxed at release until the arrow hits the mark.
