I tell ya, if this ain't my year, it ain't 'cause I'm not trying. If I weren't afraid to get shot or molested, I'd dress up like a deer and see if that wouldn't get me close!!

You are off to a good start! I've trad hunted 12 years and have not got a deer yet.

Shifting Shadow, are we hunting the same area?! I'm in your boat. I haven't shot a deer with trad or conventional weapon.
I think Vermonster13 has the cure to my dilemma on the way though. I'll keep ya posted.

Hey guys thanks alot for the support. Speedbump that was my first deer in VT this year I have passed on a few legal 1yr old bucks. I did have a 140" 10pt at 18 yds the other night but he was quartering to me and did not give a open broadside shot so I elected to pass on the bad shot. Biggest buck Ive ever had a chance at in VT.
