Stoneknife as I mentioned in another thread with turkey pics, biolgists say that about 5% of hens grow beards, and that has been my finding as well. Out of approx 60 hens in this flock, 3 have beards.

I think that is about the percentage of women I see with beards too, Ferret,....5% around here. Must be something in the water.

So Mr. Ferret, are you noticing any regular pattern to their movement?  Do the atomic clock guys call you to check their settings?   :bigsmyl:

Don't think I would be able to refrain myself from attempting to arrow a couple of them  :knothead:

Forester..normally they are prretty regular. They feed at a neighbors just after first light/fly down then wander over our way. They were pretty much a no-show today though. Dianne and I were waiting on them with hot tea, camera and binocs in hand and only 6 jakes showed up. Hmmm wonder where they are this morning.Beautiful morning too!

LOL I don't know about turkeys liking the hot tea but I can't seem to start a morning without a cup or 3. Yessir hot tea with creme and sugar and some cinnamon toast. One fine breakfast.
