Watertown NY area Tradgangers?
« on: October 20, 2008, 10:32:00 AM »
Hey Guys and Gals,
My job has been driving me a little crazy sending me all over the country lately. I'm a new homeowner, and its October for crying out loud, I'm supposed to be in a tree, not on an airplane.

The upside is, I've seen a lot of the country I wouldn't have otherwise gotten to and have met some great people through Tradgang. So my next post is a week or two around Watertown NY. Never seen the Adirondacks and it looks like I'm going to be pretty close. I know its probably getting close to the best time of year for whitetails like it is here in Wisconsin, and you all have better things to do, but I'm packing my takedown, anyone have time for some shooting or maybe a little small game? Or even just advice on a pretty place to go stumping?
Thanks in advance to the most helpful and generous site on the web.
Jared

Jared,
I retired from the Army and my last duty station was Fort Drum.
Get a map and head east from Watertown toward Harrisville and the Jadwin Memorial State Forest.
Beautiful country, enjoy your time there.
I may be the only Floridian who wants to move TO New York after retirement!
Looking forward to getting back up there.

Just left Watertown after visiting my son before he deploys. I am with Sendero. I may be one of those Snowbirds flying the wrong way from AZ. Awesome beautiful country.
