Seeya in May for sure Rob!
Thanks all.
Bo...this stuff is dead flat when it dries and will get flatter if you sand it out...if you want the best examples possible check out Toelkes bows.. I'll be there soon..or close.

Here's the camo one braced. Tiller is pretty good, but I had some issues with some experimental carbon on the top limb, so it actually has a slightly different profile...The "purdy" bow, I haven't put together to get a pic of yet, but the limb profiles will match better!!

Great looking bows. Nice to know you have the finish down now, next all you have to do is get my mailing address correct and we'll both be happy

very nice looking. Hardest part was probably getting the finish to show off adequately in the pics...at least for me it is.

Hornseeker; I don't know anything about bow building, but have you tried just oiling the bows? Either with Tung oil or Teak oil? When we built our house we oiled the widow sills (maple) with teak oil, makes a beautiful finish, you gotta do it every so often but I am sold on it over varnish/varathane etc.

SWT...I oiled my first few...its a dandy finish, but the prep work on the wood is way more intensive and the upkeep is more intensive...plus, it doesn't offer a "hard" finish to protect the bow when dropped..
I would have NO prob having an oil finish on my own bow..
Here's one that is "oiled".. Thanks!

Thanks for the come back. I'll have you make one of these for me when my ship comes in.
I am new here (tradgang) and learning lots and getting the "bug" back again, shooting almost every day, even at work lunch time. Love it.
GREAT bunch here.
like some one else said, "danged ship"
