Knife for a Naval Student
«

His birthday rolled around again and this time made him a knife. Bought the blade off the net. Then made walnut handle, epoxy and brass pinned it Then sanded. Wrapped with a piece of elk leather sewn at the bottom. Super glued the leather, than several coats of hand rubbed epoxy when that dryed. Sanded between coats. Wrapped gold cord then more epoxy. The holes in the leather let the walnut show too. Shealth was made from some scraps i had laying around. Tooled basket pattern on it. Branded NAVY on it and topped it with a Navy hat pin. First knife i ever did of this nature so just wanted to show it off...

Nice knife Vic. Lovely idea mixing the walnut & leather too.
Is that one of Doug Metzger's blades?
