Arrow choice?
« on: October 23, 2008, 04:29:00 PM »
I have a couple of questions. I am pretty new at this so any advice would be appreciated. I am getting a Toelke Whip 55# at 29". Planning on starting with a full length,MFX 400 shaft, with a 3 grain per inch weight tube,100 grain brass point adapters, and a 125 to 165 point. I figure this will give me a total weight of 650 to 680 grains.
Am I on the right track for arrow choice and weight?
I thought that starting with a full length shaft would give me more tuning options as I can cut them shorter as well as play with poimt weight. Can you use something besides the expoy to glue the inserts in for tuning so that they are easier to remove if you want to cut the shaft shorter?
