Anyone having issues with photobucket?
« on: October 24, 2008, 09:21:00 AM »
Seems lately I cant even get pages to open on photobucket, cant login etc.  Is there another photo sharing site that would work?

I just checked my Photobucket account and no problem logging in. Can see all of my three pages of photos. Has to be a problem on your computer.

I just went in there, and there was an ad that needed to be closed before I could do anything else.

Hmmmm  Ive tried several times this morning with no luck to login, the page just hangs there.  I havent changed anything on my computer that Im aware of but I guess if it works for everyone else it must be my system.

Thanks for the replies.

What I have found is that with the "new" upload feature, it does not work. Click on use old upload feature and it works. Other than that no problems.

FWIW, I use the new upload feature all the time (durn near daily, most of the time) and find it so much easier and faster. Only fault I find is I never found there editor any great shakes, as it takes too long to go back and forth, so I edit my pics to size for forums (600 width will cover most all that I know of) before I upload them to PhotoBucket. I use a nifty little (free) program called IrfanView. It can be downloaded from that name .com.

Good grief! I just logged in, and there is this new background, and encouragement to use other "themes", took forever to get settled down. I wish they'd stop with all the new stuff. There are so many hot buttons on the page that I find it hard to navigate without hitting one by mistake. I find myself trying to switch pages, but end up getting hijacked into their glacially slow editing program instead. I also have gaps in the pages, where a pic might have been moved and a blank left. This uses up space that could be consolidated resulting in fewer pages used for an album.

The basic functionality of the site seems OK, though.

Hmm. Clicking on "albums" generated an error.  :saywhat:
