no chasing that I've seen Ken, but lots of scrapes on the ground. This weekend just blew (literally). I think most deer were holed up with the rabbits waiting for it to blow over. Not to worry, the first week of November will be hot. It always is.  :)

Just been seeing scrapes and rubs opening up all over. It won't be long though. Usually the first week of Nov brings a good start to the activity for the North East.

Ken been seeing rubs for a few weeks now  and saw my first scrape Saturday here in Soprano Land. It will happen, just like payin' taxes and seeing the Big Man upstairs. I used  the grunt call Saturday morning at first light after I got settled in. Had a chocolate rack  basket six charge in like he was the king of the forest. He gave me a 15 yard broadside shot and couldn't get a shot. I had a couple of saplings between him and myself just couldn't thread  the needle.

I have seen one buck chasing does and that was the first day of season, the bucks were moving and scraping big time this morning by me.

I don't think you will see any chasing until at least the end of the first week of Nov. Last year the actual breeding phase was after the 15th. of Nov. where I hunt. I have the first two weeks off and expect around veterans day to be hot! Shawn
