I was stuck in a rut and didn't know it.

I know one month into hunting season isn't exactly the best time to make changes to one's equipment and form, but I did and am glad. I recently picked up a couple of used PSE Scouts for the kids to shoot and pulled out my Groves GS300 target bow as well.  The kids love shooting real bows and I am having a blast shooting with them.

While shooting just for fun with the kids instead of "practicing" with the hunting equipment I tried a few different things like the three under release and was pleasantly surprised. I used a thinner tab. I fiddled with anchor points and different spined target arrows, too.

For years I had been pretty happy with my hunting setup out to about 25 yards. I was shooting 2117's, split finger and a thick no pinch tab.  Now I am hunting three under with a thin tab regularly and got a set of 2018's from tradlongbow here on the forums and have definitely stepped up in accuracy and confidence in my shooting.  A much smoother release and more matched arrows to my bow.

Just wanted to say thanks to all the guys and gals here for all the helpful information.  A slight drop in spine and change of tabs and release made a huge difference to me. Don't be afraid to mix it up a little, you just might like it!
