Arrow saw
« on: November 06, 2008, 06:13:00 PM »
Is there any way to cut carbon arrow without a arrow saw? Don’t really want to shell out 200-250 buck for a tool that I probably want use very often. Tried making a saw with a dremal tool had trouble not getting a square cut. Has anyone done this successfully? Any one cut with a dremal and square up with one of those tools that G5 sells?

Take the guard off of this saw and you will be able to use the cut-off wheel from the second link. One wheel should be all you need...

I use a Harbor Freight mini cut off saw, mounted it on a scrap board and made an adjustable stop for repeatable length cuts.Have around $35 total in it,works great.I made the stop with a tapered hole so I can bring the saw into the shaft and rotate the shaft as I cut for a squarer cut just like the more expensive saws.

If you already have a dremel tool, you can use it.  I rigged mine up mounted to a board and it works well.

I second the Harbor Freight saw. Works great. Have cut many arrows with mine.
