Judo Throw!!!!
« on: November 07, 2008, 05:05:00 PM »
Well I went huntin' thins morning. I got in my stand about a half hour before the sun came up. I had high hopes for this spot as you could see a clear trail coming out of a swamp leading to the soybean field. I didn't see any deer so I'll keep this short.
Shortly after sunrise two squirrels started to feed around my tree. Well the big squirrel ran up a tree that he must have really liked because when the little squirrel tried to follow him all hell broke lose. That big squirrel came across a tree branch, grabbed that little squirrel and THREW him out of the tree. I'd never seen anything like it. The little one hit the ground, paused for a second and went on feeding. I had plenty of shot opportunities at both of them but I also had front row seats to a big fight so I just watched them bicker for a half hour before the feed off to other battle grounds. Better than seeing nothin' in my opinion.
I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

No fights better then natures way of stating "Who's the Boss".
I've seen a couple buck go at it but I drove home the other night and had to stop down the block from my house to see 2 big blue jays going at it. It was a mixture of flying martial arts with the same bird getting pinned atleast 4 times.
The bigger of the 2 kept on going after the other's neck while in the air and closing her wings around the other and diving to the ground pinning the other.
Like you said front row seats to the best fight in town.

Seen this before here in illinois, gotta love the squirrels keeps me entertained.  One of the funniest memories I had, was sitting on stand for few hours, after a strong rain.  Seen this squirrel messing around and must of hit a slick spot, got upside down on the limb and lost footing, hanging there with front legs.  you could just see the look on the squirrels face like are going oh sh*t.  then fell hit the ground sat up shook it off and scuried away, I laughed for 30 minutes.

Strangest throw I ever witnessed;I had a doe and fawn in front of me one afternoon so I did a tending grunt, using them as bait.

A huge busk showed up in a few seconds and started following the doe. The problem was she wasn't in heat and had the fawn right behind her. As the buck got up to the fawn he put his massive rack under the fawn and flipped it about 10 feet off to the side, walked up, sniffed the doe, realized he had the wrong doe and left.
