Great practice range
«

I stay late at all the trad tournaments I go to to see if they are selling any shot up targets. There were some great bargains at the Hill shoot this year and I finished my practice range. I shoot off my deck which is 16ft up.
I have one deer left to put out but here is what I have so far. $40 is the most I paid for any of the targets(antelope) and $25 is my average cost.
The two coons and Delta coyote I paid $5 each for. Some targets needed extensive patching, others were almost new. The faded deer are over 20 years old and have seen a lot of Great Stuff insulating foam over the years.

That's pretty cool, and get the replacement core at a reasonable price. Nothing like having your own 3 D

Nice Eric. Is that a gator on the far right?

The gator was $20, not a lot of gators to hunt in N Alabama but still makes one pick a spot.
It was in pretty good shape but the dovetail holding the head to the body was worn off. I have found gorilla glue is the best to glue the parts together, much better than the liquid nails I used in the past. Now the head and body are one unit, the tail still comes off.

My three 3D deer are all from Carolina Traditional Archers that they raffled off at the beginning of the season a few years ago. I paid $35 for 2 and don't remember how much for the 3re but it was cheap. I also shoot off of my deck. It is about as high as I get in a tree.

Eric,
How about posting your technique for using Great Stuff to repair? I got a buck that's about to come in two.
