I start out with a thin pair of mismatched camo gloves (yep, I lost one of each pair). Then I will move to liners under those as it gets colder. Then fingerless, "flips" as described. The liners under those while I keep then a muff! It get's COLD in Massachusetts but I keep bowin' right through the end of muzzleloader season!  :)

Vet wrap...why didn't I think of that?   :knothead:
I bought the fingerless gloves from the Polartec people. The palms have a good sticky rubber on them. They only come in black, but I love them anyway. If I were really worried about it, a little spray paint would bust it up some. I use a tab, too, but when I hunt I usually go without it. I am only pulling 46 pounds, and don't use a piano-wire string.

Later on, I switch to glommits. And chemical warmers, lots of them.

I agree with Danny Roberts. Brown jersey work gloves from the local home improvement store with three fingers cut off for the shooting hand. I buy the kind that has the beaded grip. A little more expensive but keeps things from sliding around. Works well and easy to shoot with.

Army surplus sells fingerless wool gloves for 3.50 hee I use. When it is real cold I use them and put on a hand warmer muff so without looking down I am ready. I have had problems with the hand warmers in them. The deer seem to pick up scent more when I got one going.

I've never been able to shoot with gloves on.  I use a hand muff (like the NFL QB's) with a chemical handwarmer pack inside on really cold days.

It's easy enough to tuck your bow under your arm when moving around, so the only time my hands are exposed is the few minutes getting a stand or blind adjusted and teh moment of truth.

I might have to try a hand muff, sounds like lots of your guys like 'em.

I have some samo pull over mittens too, I will give them a try, but they seem a bit bulky to me.

Thanks
