i was hunting in central ohio yesterday and missed a really nice buck.the weather was absolutely crappy and me being me wasn't totally prepared to hunt in the rain. my feathers weren't water proofed and i had one tucked in my jacket (duh)well wouldn't you know it a big eight pointer came strolling in and caught me with my pants down.i was sitting there not expecting to see anything with my hands in my pockets no arrow knocked(it was tucked in my jacket duh)he came around my tree and i took the arrow out knocked it stood up was getting ready to and then he noticed me.this is where it gets kinda funny when he noticed me he stopped looked up and let out a little grunt he then started to take off but his tail end must have not got the message from his brain because he fell flat on his side.well i'm standing in my tree kinda shocked so i started to draw on him because i didn't care if he was laying down or standing i'm gonna shoot him. i have never seen anything move that fast he went from laying on his side to going 40 mph in about the same time it took me to say oh crap!!! so big deer go bye bye.thats my story
