I just ordered some new arrows ,Easton xx75 black hunters in "400" I am shootin a 45# @ 28,Drawing 30,cut to 30.5 is the "400" any where cloc
s
e to 2018 1916 2016 2212 0r such? need to know so I can change to a different weight if that is not correct for my set up.Thanks ,,,David
Oh BTW this is a HILL style Long bow with a Flem.Dacron string @ 7 1/2 to 7 5/8 brace hight ,,and is really quiet too.

.400 would equate to an 80/85 wood spine or a 2117 aluminum. This would be at 28" though. It would be hard to say exactly what you need though because a lot would depend on the head that you are using along with other factors (variables) such as release.
IMO though it may be too stiff. I'm thinking the 2016 would be closer.

So drop down to the 300 or 350 then? shooting 3 under and 135 to 150 b.heads

I'm not sure how Easton has named the shafts. If the 300 and 350 deflection is .300 and .350 then these shafts would be stiffer then the .400.
.500 would be inbetween a 2016 and a 2018.

The new Easton black Gamegetter's are 500(2016 spine .531),400(2117 spine .407),340(2315 spine .342) and 300(2317 spine .297)this is right from Easton's catalog.The 500's may be the best fit for a Hill stlye bow,your drawing 30" so it is roughly a 51# bow.And Hill bows are not cut to center and usally shoot a weaker spined arrow better then with a bow cut to or past center.
