where can i buy some good hickory arrows?

is there a website where I can buy quality fully fletched hickory arra's. I am just never happy with the final weight of cedar's and their durability. Want to go with something a little heavier

Please note that your Hickory shafts are hard to keep stright. I have some given to me and there all over the shop for strightness.

Mike:
Hickory is totally on the opposite end of the spectrum in comparesion to cedar in both durability and mass weight.  Lots of options with other woods in between if you would prefer, like fir, spruce or hexshaft.  All  are more durable without  jumping off the deep end with mass weight and paradox recovery rate.
As Bjorn says, Ted is good and can fix you up with something be it middle of the road or otherwise (not sure if he has Hickory, I know he has Ash).
If you are sold on the Hickory contact Bill Bonzcar of Allegenhey  arrows(if Ted doesn't have them).  Not sure if he fletches up complete arrows but I think he makes the raw shafts.

hickory is not "a little heavier". ash and hichory are the heavyweights of wood unless you can find or make whole purplehart shafts.

I just built my first set of laminated Birch and all I can say is WOW!!!
I LOVE them.  They are heavy too - 28.5" to BOP, 3 fletch 5.5", and 125 grain point brings the finished arrow weight to 740 gr!

They also shoot like darts out of my Toelke recurve 55# @ 27"

I got the shafts from 3Rivers (but I think Allegenhey supplies them)

Give'em a shot...

if you seach for wood densities, you will get an idea of the ranges. densities also vary with species so there is a range. where it comes from also makes a difference.

Ted sold me some excelent tapered ash and hickory shafts and he makes a beautifull arrow. But if you dont want 700+ arrows go with cedar, spruce or D.fir. Try Paul Jalon at Elite arrows, he'll make'em just like you want.
