Bohning crester

I have a Bohning crester that I have used for quite a few years. I started cresting a new bunch of arrows tonight, and the shafts just sat there without moving while the motor spun around. The plastic washer that holds the shafts has apparently become dry with age and won't grip the shafts anymore. I suppose I could experiment around with things until I found something that would work, but if anyone has already got a good solution to this problem, I'd like to hear it.

I do mine with the nocks on them, mine would not grip a bare shaft when i bought it.

I'd get a different crester.

Thanks for the info. I'm tempted to get the newer design crester, but all three reviews posted at 3 Rivers were negative. John, above, apparently thinks it works great, while Donnie apparently doesn't. 4 to 1 against doesn't give me great confidence in plunking out $140, so maybe I'll put together enough other things to make an order worthwhile, and get some replacement washers @ 55 cents each instead.

There will be a new crester on the market soon, that I don't think will get bad reviews, if you can wait a while. It's in "beta" testing right now.
