BlackHawk Carbonwood 3000 question
«

I'm looking for a set of shafts to shoot out of my Berry Serpentine(54# @ 28") I draw a full 28".
I see Sipsey River has BlackHawk Carbonwood 3000 for a good price right now. Would these work well at my weight maybe cut to 29.5"? I use a fair bit of weight up front too at least 200 gr points.. I wonder if my 100 gr. brass inserts that I use in my Beman ICS 500's will fit?
Any opinions on these shafts as far as durability etc?
As a side bar - what spine of wood shafts might work well with 200-250 gr. up front?

I have shot these shafts in the past and been fairly impressed with them. I just picked up a couple of dozen more from Sipsey River myself. They have about the same spine as CE 45/60's. I am shooting them off of 58 pound longbow limbs and they fly great. You ought to be in pretty good shape with 54 pounds and your brass inserts.
I use the same inserts and nocks on my Beman ICS hunters, Terminators and Vapors.

I called Sipsey River and that is the shaft they set me up with. I'm only pulling 50#@28" but I'm pulling a tad longer and leaving them full-length.
I'm just starting out so I haven't gotten good enough to really tune them yet but I ordered the weight insert system. To this beginner they fly "decent" with anywhere from 175-325gr up front. So surely somewhere between is "right".
Mine are shot off a longbow that isn't cut-to-center.
