« on: December 02, 2008, 08:35:00 AM »
Got a buddy who's trying to set-up a 30 pound Colt.

Anyone know the recommended brace height ?  Thanks !

start at 7.5" and adjust from there
i was told by a sales person, when purchasing an out-of-date newpaper that it was out-of-date...

i told her "i've been told i'm out-of-date, too"...

does that mean i'm up-to-date?

While we're at it, what about a Wing Falcon 25@ 28?
Came with a new string braced at 6.75#
Seems low to me but maybe it gives it more power. I shortened it to 7" but it got a little handshock which I thought odd for this bow. No shock at previous tuning. Same arrows.

I have a Stallion that is braced at 7.5".  I believe that the colt and stallion are realy similar in design.  They look almost the same to me.  Just start at 7.5" shoot and adjust as needed.  Do you already have a string for it or are you making one?

If it is a 7070 Pearson Archives show it 7.5" to 8.25". They show the 707 at 6.5-7.5 but also show it at 7.5-8.5. Hope that helps.

Yes, they are. Mine is as ugly as homemade soap, with holes, poor finish, cracks, etc. but it shoots like a dream.
