I own a bear montana and even though I've never heard of those guys... my .02.
Go with the black river. There is nothing wrong with my montana, but looking at that one the quality appears much nicer. I doubt someone would go through the trouble of that much quality in looks and make them of poor construction.
My montana under close scrutiny appears to be just what it is, a line production bow. 3 equal parallel lams covered in black glass and a blocky ash riser. Fades could have been better but are good enough.
That thing has accent stripes, limb veneers, etc. If it were my guess someone is looking for some good reviews, and then is going to raise their prices.
When you look at PSE or martin's real low end lineup, the sequoia, or the L hundred something or other, they are of visually simple construction. Low woodworking, few materials. Thats why they are cheap. That looks like a real good deal. Wish I shot more than one bow.
