What Broadheads are you guys using with Trad bows for Wild Turkey? We have Fall archery season for turkeys and I have been busy hunting deer and desided it was time to have a change of pace and get the blind out and go stick a turkey. I have been using Mangus 150gr 2-blade Buzzcuts on deer/hogs but also have some Mangus 150gr Snuffers I thought the bigger cut may be better on turkeys. My longbow is only 48Lb so I don"t what to big of a cut.

You can kill them with any sharp one placed well, butttttt there vitals are small and they are really tough, I,ve had the best luck with big 3 blade broadheads the more damage you do the better your recovery chances are. You have plenty of bow.

I personally shoot Zwickey Eskimo 4bld on all game. They sure do a number on turkey's when put in the wing butt. I would stick with anything three or four blade. Dan is right, their vitals are very small and your bow will be fine with Snuffers. tripper

As Dan said turkeys are tough and the vitals are very small (less than the size of a grapefruit). If you shoot the three blades the best then use them. If you shoot the stingers the best then use those. But acuracy and knowing where the vitals are when they are in strut and when they are not is most important.

I bought the magnus bullheads for my wheelie before I had my BW. I'm going to throw those on before the spring season and see how they do with my CE heritage arrows. I'll post when I get around to testing them out.
Best,
Dave

G5 Striker Magnum (1.5 inch cutting diameter) 125 grain...3 fixed blades that do the trick immediately.

I have 125 Snuffers for turkeys. I haven't shot any turkeys with them yet but I've seen pictures of the devestating holes they put in critters.

I use my Zwikey Eskimos and they have taken several. As everyone else said, you have to put them in the wing butt and they won't go far.

Call me crazy, but i used a Rocky Mt. Snyper expandable on the Tom i shot last May. I like the large cutting diameter for turkeys.

Believe it or not this head was designed for turkey. Doubt many folks are using them for such though
