vintage browning knife

I have used the same Browning knife since I have began hunting.  It is a vintage browning with a brazilian rose wood handle with brass gaurds.  The knife holds an edge very well.  I happened to recieve it from my dad on my first hunting trip we took together when I was 10 years old.  He got it from my grandfather back in the late 70's.  I was just wondering what you guys think about old browning knives that were made back then.  When they were made in the USA.

I had a folder from th 70s My dad kinda gave it too me. I borrowed it alot. I went fishing in between hunts one day hooked up with a .00009 pound bass and knocked the knife off into a deep dirty creek. . 10 years ago  I bet that thing is still sharp right now sitting on the bottom of EASTMAN LAKE......

I think they used to use 440C steel in there knives.  To bad they don't build'em like that anymore.  I prefer to buy older knives for that reason.  Today everyone is trying to doit the cheapest way to make the most.  That is one knife I will never part with for any price.
