Early Christmas-New Maddog Recurve w/ pics

Sometimes it pays to be the first one home and to the mailbox at days end. A few days ago I pulled down my snow covered road to see a "bow" sized box leaning against my mailox. Don't think I could have gotten more excited. Inside I found my new Maddog midsize recurve. I have been shooting a Madog midsize longbow for sometime now and love it.
This recurve came in at 52" long. Riser is zebra and cocobolo. Limbs are boo with black glass. She is beautiful and cost $150 made to my 23". Not kidding!!!!
www.tradstore.com/mta
if you want to check Mike out. I believe midsize recurves can be made up to 45# and up to 26" draw. Best deal around.
This one shows midsize longbow(51") & midsize recurve(52").

OK-Just went to work to tune her up. Tune what? I set the brace where Mike said and put my nock point on at 1/2 to start. I grabbed my two broadhead tipped arrows that I use to tune. I like to tune with the same set-up I will hunt with. I had a foam block so I put a 1" black sticky dot on it. The first arrow cut it in half, the second burried what was left of it into the foam. Holy cow!!! I feel I have found the mother of all bows. Are recurves easier to shoot than longbows? Have not had a recurve since a Pearson Filly years back. I love my Maddog longbow, but she may be going to the shelf! Thank you Mike for an amazing bow!

Yeah, no kidding, I don't blame you!
That's sort of a local joke in this little town I live. I use lots of superglue gel, the cheap stuff that comes 2 tubes for 1$, mostly for sealing wood before and arrows. Some of the gals at the store I get it from call me the crazy glue sniffer, I guess I sort of look like one.
