Theo and Terry...glad you guys got into them. Sounds like your hearts got a good workout!
Theo, it was fun having you in camp, even if you were carrying a recurve. :p
Of course you and I were the only ones not hunting Dryad bows as well. Not sure when we'll hear the end of that.
Sorry Charlie...you get no sympathy. Not when you get to go hunting for 2-3 months straight and drag out the stories like you do so well. Besides, I'm sure you'd be welcome to crash our party any old time.

Well we are back in Texas and have a full plate in the shop to start cracking on.
Anyway we had a great trip. We look forward to getting to camp with Terry and Bobbie and it's always fun to have a new guy in camp. This year there were two, Theo and Jordan. Theo is not exactly new to bowhunting but it was his first trip to "Javie Camp" and Jordan was on his first hunting adventure ever.
Both had fun for sure! I wish the weather had cooperated a little more but that's hunting. The 30 mph winds put a damper on things and kept the game pretty tight the whole trip. We covered miles and miles of desert washes only to be eatign track soup in the end. We did have some close encounters with quail and came real close to putting one in the bag on the wing. But in the end the game bag was empty as the desert faded in the rear view mirror.
Or plan was to stay through Saturday but thanks to Terry and Bobbie's weather alert we got out before the big storm hit and were able to get the tents down without too many lift offs.
I think the next trip to the desert, we will be after them little whitetail. Looking forward to the challenge.

As a Dad with a little guy of my own that I hope to hunt with some day, I can't tell you how freaking cool this sentence is!
Congrats on a great trip.

NOW COME ON GUYS.....There just has to be a story in this MIX somewhere and I know SOMEONE took a CAMERA. That leads me to suspect that there may even be a few photos.

Well not quite a grizzly but my zipper did stick on my sleeping bag in the middle of the night and I needed to pee. It might have sounded like I was fighting a grizzly.
The boys did sneak up on a couple of mountain lion hunters that were calling about 100 yds from a bunch of mountain bikers in camp one day. I thought baiting was against the rules in AZ.
