Ga hogs
« on: December 23, 2008, 12:20:00 PM »
A friend and myself are interested in some trad hog hunting in Georgia but don't really know where to go. My brother lives in Forsyth so somewhere within an hour or so would be great but not if that's not the best place to go. lol.  If it's public land, when does the season end?
   Thanks in advance....Don

Don...scroll down to the state trad bowhunting orgs. and post this on Traditional Bowhunters of Ga.   There are some hog hunting fools on there that would be happy to give you some hints. Hope this helps...

Do some searching through old threads here and on the GA site, as some very useful info has been provided in the past.  (hint, hint: one of the noted GA "hog hunting fools" just started a thread within the last week about GA hogs on public land and he even included some photos of the area.)  You might also check the schedule of 2009 events on the TBG web site, as we have numerous group hunts every year and usually in locations where hogs abound; somethimes they even up on the campfire grill.  For the small price of a membership you might schedule your trip south during a TBG group hog hunt and join in the fun.
