Beautiful Indiana Day
« on: December 25, 2008, 05:55:00 PM »
Did any of you Hoosiers go hunting today and for what?

I wanted to be out there but, well, you know!

Seemed like the first day in a while that wasn't either raining or with high winds.

BTW, Merry Christmas!

I did. Went hunting for a little solitude and time to reflect. Sat on a log and soaked up a little sun and enjoyed the warmth of the Ron LaClair wool shirt my son bought for me. Shot a few arrows from my Bears Paw longbow that I bought a few days ago on the Tradgang classifieds. Very nice day indeed.

Didn't go hunting but it sure was good to see the sun for a change. After spending time with the family and seeing this great weather it just makes you want to go out and spend the next few days enjoying all nature has to offer.

You must live down south Bona.  Beautiful day up here too but there is so much ice from the rain yesterday that I can't hardly get out of my driveway  :p   I wanted to go hunting in a bad way today after all of the crappy weather and wind that we have had the last week or so but figured I'd be sliding on my butt or getting my truck stuck on the ice.  Seen a bunch of turkeys out feeding this afternoon.  Bet the deer were too.  I sure hope the rain tomarrow cleans off a bunch of this ice. dino

My day was spent with the in-laws/out-laws and indoors...tomorrow morning is for errands and then it's 'relief time'...back on the road Sunday afternoon...trying to hit the PA squirrel hunt and then the Bunny Romp. That'll close out my hunt time for the season.
Hope you All had a wonderful and Merry Christmas!!

Walked some public land near Terre Haute with my brother yesterday.  It was pretty nice.  Gave him a few suggestions for next year.  Beautiful weather that I miss am forced to hunt in Texas where it is rarely colder than 30 degrees.

Dino, I'm east central of the state. I thought I might get a chance to lauch a few arrows atleast but alas I ran out of daylight.

I was meaning to look up what the last day would be and didn't yet. It must be the 4th.
