Excellent info John H, thanks.
For those wondering why a person would want a shot bow......when hunting from the ground, no chair. no stool, no blind, a short bow is less likely to have a tip strike the ground or nearby brush, especially for a height challenged person like me!

I heard a rumor you guys were also working on a recurve? Just think what would be if you combine shorter limbs that store more energy with higher dynamic efficiency. Now that would be something for those who like shorter bows! I have yet to see anyone put any serious efforts on a lighter mass recurve limbs. I also think recurves get hurt in efficiency dept by their wide limbs which have greater wind resistance. There is a trade off but I have to think ACS technology might make those trade offs less on a recurve limb design too.

Mark, I'm working on them (building them, testing them, and shooting them) as we speak.

I was amazed, I had a set of 50# limbs at 64" and traded for a set of 55# at 62". The 50# limbs were quite a bit faster than the 55# limbs. A freind of mine said the same thing before he had shot the 3rd arra out of the 62" limbs (he had also shot the 64" limbs).

Short longbow would be about the same as saying jumbo shrimp, right?
