2008 purchases that worked
« on: January 02, 2009, 03:17:00 PM »
How about some new items you bought and tried during 2008 from sponsors that you really liked? I was impressed with my Arrowmaster quiver. Wasn't too giddy when I first got it, but after some target range and time in woods found it to be a great product and was really happy I got it. My new Zipper is a beautiful bow that I continue to be amazed at its beauty and how well it shoots. Late in the year I got some Gold Tip shafts from Sipsey River with a friend and they have helped my indoor shooting. What about the rest of you?

An American leathers fullshot glove, which works well for me. And some 125 gr. screw in Woodsman broadheads, they were easy to sharpen, and fly just fine. Even took a deer with one. I will definitley purchase a few more packs for next year.

RER LXR and a VOODOO KUSTOM Elk antler bow....both are beyond expectations.

Bought a Leon Stewart double shelf Slammer, and a JD Berry 1 pc recurve.....don't like either one.

2 SafariTuff bow cases that are great

Thermacell for turkey season for sure.

The Shrew Bow Quiver that Ron LaClair is selling. It's compact, quiet and allows you to angle the arrows to match the profile of the bow. I switched from the Asbell style over the shoulder quiver to the Shrew bow quiver and have been very pleased with it.

Hickory shafts from Ted Fry at Raptor Archery. Super heavy and super tough.

I traded for a Raineman Custom String made by Jim Raine and it rocks.

I also bought a custom D97 string from bgram and it was awesome as well.

These guys do superb work.  I'll tip my hat to their craftsmanship.

No better place to buy "stuff" than the Nocking Point.

Vapor carbons from Sipsey River - Thanks John!
ArrowMaster Quiver from Safari Tuff - Thanks Rod!
TWO bows from Mike and the gang at Dryad (whats wrong with me...)
A Bunch of stuff (tabs, strings, etc) from 3 Rivers, my lab pup especially loved the shipping boxes..

And a LOT of stuff off the Tradgang Classifieds,
favorites include my JK Traditions Kanati and my Beagle Woolens.

I kinda fell head over heels this season.
