Apache Pyramid blind?
« on: January 06, 2009, 10:04:00 PM »
Does anyonehave any info on the Apache Pyramid blind? I had one years ago and let it go in a fit of stupidity! I have done a web search and came up with some testimony, but nothing as far as dealers are concerned. I think thay are going to be available at Kalamazoo, but I will not be able to make it this year. If anyone has any info to share, let me know. Thanks, Mike

Are there any websites that a fella could take a look at these blinds? It seems like I saw one many years ago, but would really like another peek. If I remember correctly, they are very light.

I am planning on looking at them at Kzoo and was wondering if anyone has any pros and cons on them. Thanks BOB

I have had mine for about 10 years. Its light and easy to set up and takedown.slides through the brush nicely with its shape. Its well made and durable.I would recommend the 6 ft, version for more coverage.Mine is the 5 footer.I have killed 2 deer with it and a few turkeys.I do brush it up a bit with natural cover.Especially for deer

The price is reasonable.

You do have to be more careful with movement vs the double bull style blinds.I like the fact that you dont feel as enclosed in or clausterphobic using it vs the fully enclosed blinds. You hear better as well. The profile is more natural IMO.I do like to break up the edge or outline of the blind with sewn on synthetic leaves. Its a versatile piece of hunting equipment for turks, ducks, deer or whatever.

Thanks for the phone #! I will try to get ahold of him this week. I am hoping to find someone around here that is going to K-zoo and have them pick one up for me. At one time I believe he offered a takedown version of the blind. The poles were bascially cut in half and when the blind was set up they slipped into a coupling. Thanks again! Mike

They are still a collapsable design.  My dad has a 6 foot version he bought at Kzoo last year that he is looking at getting rid of I think (never used it in the field)...I will check if you are interested.  I think the camo pattern is Advantage Timber.
