Just some info, The Mountain Equipment Co-ops are as anti hunting as an organization can be. I spend my money elsewhere regardless of what they have. They were at the forefront of getting our Grizzly season shut down here in Alberta.

This has been batted around (same chages have been made against REI) before many times, and the evidence just isn't there.  They are both officially neutral about hunting.

Ozy,  If you are going to go with rubber boots, you should get a vapor barrier liner sock like the one integral designs makes (about $20). These are a waterproof sock that go between your liner socks and your outer socks.  It will keep the boot pac insulation dry.

Ozy, mbushman:  You're right, my arithmatic sucks.  The formula is correct, and it does work below zero.  I was adding when I should have been subtracting.  Minus 20C equals -4F, and minus 30C equals -22F.  Pretty common winter temperatures for Canada.  My apologies to all.      :knothead:

Clint,

You do not want rubber boots in sheep country. Alberta does have some mighty nice sheep country in lowland rolling hills. But in mountainous areas of BC,Yukon,NWT and Alaska rubber boots would spell disaster in my books.
