Elk outfitters in Colorado
« on: January 08, 2009, 08:29:00 AM »
looking to bowhunt CO for elk in 2010.  Selfbow or recurve, I am not sure. I have seen a number of awsome pack in hunts and a lot of information from various individuals about pack-in elk hunts in CO.

But are their any good companies that will do the packing for you: pack me and my supplies in/out either by quadriped(mule/horse/llama) or plane?

If so what does something like that cost and what are the names of the companies that you have heard of or have experience with.

Try full draw outfitters.  They do full guided in Colorado and are owned by Fred Eichler.

Mike Murphy & TBARM outfitters are very good. Also recommended by David Peterson, who knows a thing or two about Elk hunting.

We did a fully guided hunt last year with Mike and Danny, but are considering a drop camp with them this year.

Contact Mark Horne at Horne's Archery, his brother runs one of the largest guide operations in CO and has lots of area with several different camps , needless to say they understand bowhunters.
