I skinned out and tanned a coyote that i killed during the ohio shotgun season, and it stinks,BAD! I was wondering if you guys knew anything i could buy and put on it or any tricks to take the stink off of it. Any advice is much appreciated.

Smoke like you would if you were tanning buckskin, you'll love the smell.

Coyotes (and other wild canines) roll in the nastiest stuff they can find to cover their scent and confuse their prey when they are hunting. Hides can be washed if they are well salted OR if you are going to put them on the stretcher. Care needs to be taken to address the wet spots (ears, nose, cased legs, etc.) or one will get slippage. Tanning usually removes the scent once they have been processed....

If there is a tanner near you ask him. When I shot my bear, the first vat that the hide went into I think had Lysol in it to clean and get rid of any smell. He could probably give you some good tips.
