Just thought I'd check in with y'all.  We've almost finished moving, and true to form, we had precipitation (snow, this time) for the move.  The house in CA is almost ready to paint and release to the rental agency so they can rent it while the home prices in the area come up, then we'll sell it and pay off the mortgage. It's nice to have our new place completely paid off, and for the moment have a tax advantage with the mortgage on the other one!  I can now begin to get myself back into shape for the coming year, and plan to get out hunting as soon as I can.  So hi, everyone, and happy new year!

Depending on how far you relocated, you might have some new scouting and hunting opportunities.  I think that would be exciting.

No, guys, it doesn't snow much at all in the central valley of CA-Sierras, yes, but not around Sacramento.  We moved to Leavenworth, WA, and it most definitely snows there!  We had a pineapple express (warm rain) which took down our almost three feet of snow to about half that in two days.  I now have some serious opportunities right out my fence.  Plus over an acre to set up my targets in.  

Kev, I used to be on National Ski Patrol at Kirkwood Meadows ski area, and it snowed four feet in one night there!  I know NYC and Seattle both have a habit of panicking when they get a half-foot, but up in the Sierra, they get real snow!  

If anyone wants to check out this town, here's the website for it.  Took awhile for me to warm up to the place, but in the winter, with the town lit with Christmas lights, it's a fairy tale!
