I may be taking a job around Newport News, Virginia beach, VA area. Just wondering if there is any tradgangers close by. It'll be a week or 2 before I know for sure. My wife and son will have to travel back and forth to home till the house sells. Not real happy bout that but in these times it's hard to be choosey about where you live and work. I definately would like a place to shoot 3-d and someone to shoot with. I need someone to make fun of me. Thanks in advance.

Well, you'll be closer than you are now...
I know there are some folks down there and they will chime in. You will be about three hours from me. Check out the Trad Clubs forum and read who is from where. Post a thread in the VA section as well. See you at ATAR?

Thanks Killie. If I am living there when ATAR happens I'll definately make it. I sure enjoy meeting new folks.

Look up Dixie Bowmen and the Fort Lee shooting club. Stop by the Bass Pro shop and see me, I shoot Trad and have both schedules at the shop. There is a knapping gathering there this Saturday. Pm me for more info

I'll give you a shout when I for sure end up going there. I'll know for sure in the next few days. If so I'll be there next Sunday night.

Im down in Chesapeake. There are a couple of good WMA's in the area. Drop me a line when you get in and we can make the rounds. Do you have a canoe? Think about getting one. I know a really good spot!!

Sounds good Jerry. Is there any game in season? Stump shooting is always an option if not. I'm thinking the fishing may not be bad there either.

Fishing and duck hunting are both good in that area. You're on the 'wrong' side of the tunnel though. LOL. Just kidding. The Tidewater side likes to joke about the Hampton, Newport News cities that are across the bay. Good fresh water and salt water fishing all over. Right now squirrel and rabbit are in season. All big game are out of season now.

Hatch your just in time for the 3D season starting up. Theres Newport News Park, obviously in NN, Kingsboro Bowman in Suffolk, and Dixie in Disbutana(off of RT 460). Let me know when you get in town. Introduce you to some traditional bow hunters.

Well I am here. My family stayed this first week with me but they are leaving tommorrow. I'll be flying solo for a couple weeks. Looks like I'll be wide open this coming weekend. Any 3-d shoots this weekend? Anybody got a good place to stump shoot? I'm staying in Newport News off of Oyster point. Just send me a pm and I'll give you my cell number.
