I'd say call NYDEC.See what they say.I hope CWD hasn't made it down there.

We had 15 in the  back dooryard the other morning.One had antlers still,one had lost one side,and the other one lost em both.They all shed down there or just starting?

We have quite a bit of CWD here in Colo.  It is in the mule deer, elk and starting in the moose.  I found a doe when I was hunting Mt. Lions that had it.  She was really thin, and layed up near water. She was also salivating very heavy. That is all she wanted to do was drink.  She was so weak that she could not get up.  The guy I was with shot her and piled a bunch of brush on her and burned her.
