The string is 44" so overall it might be about 45-46" from tip to tip.

I have one at home that measures 49 1/2" and i was thinking it was too long and was going to make another string for it.  However it is braced at just over 7" and shoots great.  I was at bass pro shops this weekend and they had one with a string that looked the same as mine.  I thought that recurve strings were supposed to be 4" shorter than the tip to tip length???   You might try and send bear archery an email i would be interested in finding out what they say.

Been using a 44" or  45" string for over 30+ years. Bow still shoots very well and has taken more than it's share of whitetails.

Still use it when I in certain stands because of its size
