Which one?

I'm having a carbon versus aluminum quandry going on so one more question...is it better to put a 100 gn brass insert into a carbon arrow to boost weight or just screw on a 200 gn broadhead?

I would say use a 200gn head. Might as well use that weight for cutting surface.

3-Under: I do not think it matters. I have some carbons that have regular inserts in that I shoot with 200 grain Razorcaps or 220 grain Phantoms. I also have arrows that have 100 grain brass inserts in them and on those I use 100 or 125 grain Razorcaps or 125 grain Phantoms. I can mix and match all those arrows and they all shoot the same and more importnatly they are all equally effective on game.

I agree with Bill. As long as you use the same weight up front they shoot the same..

I would think the brass insert would be stronger than the aluminum.
