Predator Mojo
« on: January 24, 2009, 06:17:00 PM »
Here's a copy of a PM I just sent to a fellow Trad Ganger concerning a set of 62" Predator limb's I just received from him. I thought it was pretty cool and just had to share it. Got to love those Predator's****and Widow's, and A&H ACS CX's, and DAS's, and Bear Takedown's. It's a sickness and it's way too much fun flinging arrows with these things but I'm not opposed to picking up a compound once in a while if the situation calls for it. There's just something about the flight of the arrow that amazes me.*******

Dave,

Sad to say I'm not real happy with the limb's. When I picked them up from the Post Office yesterday I took a look at them, put them on the riser, set a string up and didn't shoot them. Had to work today, so when I came home I put the first two arrow's thru them in the basement @ 14 yards and RUINED my arrow's. Go figure, what are the odds of that happening. I've had probably 50 Robinhood's in my stickbow/compound career but never in the first two arrows out of a new setup! Made me laugh because when I went up to Ron's shop a few years back and picked up a bow, I shot a couple of arrows with it behind his shop before I bought it. He told me "if you get a Robinhood on the second arrow I'll give you the bow for nothing"! I guess it's all about timing! Here's a few pic's of the arrow's I ruined and how good these things look on my riser. These limbs were made for this bow!!!

Thanks,
Mike

Steve,

See you at the stomp. I still plan I bringing my "Award Winning" venison chili. Don't know if I'll do as much hunting as I plan on doing BS'n and cooking! Looking foward to it.

Alright, alright, yes Mike, you had me going with the first couple of comments. Now you're gonna tell me you lost money in the deal because of the two arrows. And talk about showing off! A gorgeous bow AND a robinhood. Now you're pushing it.

Oh well, there's one thing I know for sure. There's NO WAY your "Award Winning" venison chili can beat mine. After all, I make mine fresh!

Yellow Dog, What kind of wood are those limbs ? They are a great match to the riser.

I'm not superstious, but, there might be something to Predator mojo. I hunted hard last fall during prime time and had very few opportunities. Gun season starts the Monday after Thanksgiving and goes until the middle of Feb. I received my new Predator a couple days before Christmas, (Looks a lot like yours YD,) second time in the woods, for a total of about 6 hours and I bagged a buck...
