Wood Tapered or Paralell?
« on: March 12, 2007, 03:48:00 PM »
I have a new bow on order, and am going to get back to wood shafts, namely the Hex Shafts.

I was wondering if the tapered shafts have advantages over paralell ???

Any input would be appreciated..

Thanks

Single tapered arrows recover a little sooner off the bow.

Barrel tapered arrows, sooner yet.

A taper will also move your FOC (Front of Center) balance point just a shade more toward the front, which is good.
